Palomar 1540 Laser Resurfacing

The Palomar LUX 1540 handpiece uses a technology called Fractional Photothermolysis to create non-ablative skin resurfacing with high efficacy and safety.  This revolutionary treatment improves skin texture, sun damage, acne scars, body scars, and stretch marks with a series of at 3-6 monthly treatments.  The Palomar LUX 1540 laser treatment is an ideal procedure for individuals who are experiencing wrinkles, fine lines, changes or unevenness in skin texture.

The Palomar LUX 1540 laser resurfacing procedure works by treating tiny columns of tissue within the larger treatment zone, leaving some areas untouched by the laser. By treating only a portion of the skin with each treatment, damage can be minimized, resulting in far less discomfort and downtime.  It also provides patients with far quicker healing time than more aggressive resurfacing procedures.  Throughout the process, the integrity of the top layer of skin is maintained, which protects the tissue from infection as it heals.

The initial results of your procedure will be visible immediately after treatment with the Palomar LUX 1540, and you can expect those results to continue to improve during the following weeks, as new collagen continues to form, offering a fresher, firmer appearance. For 1-3 days after treatment, you may also notice some temporary redness and swelling that will resolve on its own.
