Job Description:

Join our dynamic team as a Dermatology Scribe and contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our thriving dermatology practice. As a Dermatology Scribe, you will play a pivotal role in documenting patient encounters, ensuring comprehensive and precise medical records for dermatological procedures and treatments. Your role will be instrumental in supporting dermatologists by capturing detailed notes, facilitating smooth patient flow, and maintaining compliance with medical documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately documenting patient histories, physical exams, procedures, and treatment plans in real-time during dermatology appointments.
• Ensuring completeness and clarity of medical records to support accurate coding and billing processes.
• Assist with surgical procedures.
• Collaborating closely with dermatologists and healthcare providers to capture critical details and observations.
• Assisting with medical chart management, including organizing and updating patient records.
• Scheduling and phone triaging patient care.

Qualifications:

• Medical scribe, medical assistant, or LPN preferred
• We welcome pre-professional students such a pre-medical or pre-physician assistant students to apply. Myers Dermatology offers a comprehensive training program even with no experience.
• Part-time, Full-time, or PRN positions available with flexible schedules.
• Experience as a medical scribe or in a similar role within a healthcare setting i.
• Willingness to learn dermatology terminology, procedures, and treatments.
• Excellent typing skills and proficiency in medical documentation software and EMR systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare providers, patients, and administrative staff.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
